The range of portable cartridge operated type fire extinguishers is certified to BS EN 3 : 1996 and manufactured under an ISO 9001 approved Quality System. Available in a variety of sizes for dry powder, foam and water models. The cylinders are deep drawn from cold rolled steel, centre welded and pressure tested to twice the extinguisher's working pressure. Cylinders are externally coated with epoxy polyster (with phosphate under treatment) for maximum corrosion resistance and have passed the 480-hour salt spray test. The water and foam extinguishers are internally coated with operating brass headcap is fitted with safety relief value.
Dry Powder (ABC)
ABC dry powder extinguisher is one of the most versatile extinguishants and is effective on Class A (carbonaceous) fires, Class B (flammable liquid) fires, and Class C (flammable gas) fires. They are also suitable for use on live electrical fires.
Water
The most commonly used type of fire extinguishant for Class A fires involving carbonaceous materials such as wood, textile by cooling the fire and removing the heat needed for combustion.
Foam
Effective on B Class hydrocarbon fuel fires such as oil, petroleum, aviation fuels, and is particularly suitable where fast fire knockdown is essential. It is compatible with all dry powders. It's excellent wetting characteristics make it useful in combating Class A fire as well.
